Baileys Easter Egg Drink (Chocolate Easter Milkshake)
Do you want to make a special drink for easter? Don’t look further because this Baileys Easter egg drink is the perfect drink for Easter. This recipe is inspired by the Baileys commercial. This Easter drink is made of only 5 ingredients – Baileys, Easter Eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla ice cream. The ingredients are all blended together which results in a chocolate milkshake. It is quick, easy, creamy, chocolaty, and festive.
The milkshake is served in a large chocolate Easter Egg. That makes it the showstopper on Easter day. You can also serve it in a chocolate Easter bunny.
I was totally inspired by the Baileys commercial of a baileys easter egg for this recipe. I really liked the idea of using a large chocolate Easter egg as a glass. That’s how I came up with this recipe for this Easter milkshake. Because of the large size of the ‘glass’, this easter drink is perfect for sharing. You can also choose to serve the drink into smaller easter eggs so you don’t have to share this Baileys Easter Egg Drink with someone else.
Because of the inspiration of the Baileys commercial, I needed to add some Baileys in this recipe as well. This is a true Easter recipe because Easter Eggs are also used as ingredients for the base of the milkshake. Resulting, in a Chocolate Baileys Easter milkshake.
Nowadays there are so many different kinds of Easter eggs, use the ones that you like the most. So that you get the best Easter chocolate milkshake. Do you have some leftover Easter eggs, then this is the perfect recipe to get rid of them.

🧁 Ingredient Notes
This milkshake only consists 5 ingredients:
- Ice Cream: vanilla ice cream is the best choice for this recipe. You can use chocolate ice cream as well, but I will warn you that the chocolate milkshake is going to be very heavy.
- Easter eggs: not only one of the main ingredients of this milkshake. The Easter Milkshake is also served into an large easter egg. The Easter Eggs turn this milkshake into a chocolate Easter Milkshake.
- Baileys : the secret ingredient of this milkshake. You can skip this step if you want to make this drink without alcohol.
- Milk: I use whole milk for this recipe because whole milks makes the milkshake more cremier and thicker than reduced fat-milk or low-fat milk. However you can use any milk of your choice.
- Sugar: you can add sugar to make the drink a little bit sweeter.

🍰 Variations
- Gluten-free: it is possible to make the milkshake gluten-free. Note that is not every ice cream is gluten-free, check the packaging to see if it contains gluten. Here are some examples of gluten-free ice cream brands: Breyers, Talenti, Chewtopia, So Delicious, NadaMoo!, and Wink Frozen desserts. To make this recipe completely gluten-free, you have to swap the ice cream for gluten-free ice cream.
- Without alcohol: you can make this Easter drink without alcohol. Just make the drink without Baileys.
🍽 Equipment
The only thing you need for making this milkshake is a blender. I don’t have a blender, but I have a Nitribullet. I absolutely love my Nutribullet! It is fast and small. Makes perfectly milkshakes in seconds.
👩🏼🍳 Expert Tips
- Dip your ice scoop into hot water, when the ice cream is to frozen. So the scoop gets easier in the ice cream.
- Use a cookie mold as a holder for the large Easter Egg. You need a holder for the large Easter egg otherwise it won’t stand because of its round shape. It won’t stand on its own.
